Partners in Energie supports market participants in their services within the energy sector. On this page, you can read more about data management and participation in data exchange.
Registration and management of data
Partners in Energy is the place where all new market participants can register. This provides them with access to the required data from the sector and they can use EDSN's services for market facilitation processes. The data recorded at Partners in Energy remains the property of the market participants. In the future, we will make it increasingly easy to view and manage your own data.
Registering your organisation as a market participant or changing your details can be done either with or without a Partners in Energy account. eHerkenning is required for this. One benefit of an account is that you have access to lots of information and all of our services. In addition, having an account makes managing your data easier.
New registration and entering the energy market
To enter the energy market as a new market participant, you must register at Partners in Energy. The registration process consists of five steps. The average duration of the entire process is between 4 and 6 months.
Want to register as a foreign party?
A foreign party can also register in the Netherlands, but cannot use eHerkenning when registering. Use this form instead.
Process for Participating in Data Exchange
Step 1. Information and registration with Het Normo
The first step involves registering with Het Normo. This can be done by completing the registration form. It is only possible to do this if you have eHerkenning. Read more about eHerkenning.
Step 2. Connection to the central systems of the joint grid operators (EDSN)
This step involves realising the connection between your organisation’s local system and EDSN’s central systems. Once all your details have been received, we will realise the connection within three weeks. You will then immediately receive your login details for the testing environment(s).
Stap 3. Testing an qualification of the joint grid operators (EDSN)
In this step, you prepare the qualification that you will perform in the test environment. This qualification means that, as a new party, you can demonstrate that your decentralised system is capable of exchanging correct and complete information with EDSN's central systems. We also check whether you have enough knowledge of the processes in the energy market.
Stap 4. Formal completion of registration
When registering to participate in data exchange at Het Normo (step 1), did you opt for a provisional registration because you did not yet possess a market role confirmation? Then we will finalise your application once you possess the required market role confirmation, licence or designation. Therefor you need eHerkenning level 3. Read more about eHerkenning.
Stap 5. Entering the energy market
You have successfully completed the qualification process and possess the required market role confirmation. In this step, we will record your registration for participation in the data exchange in the central systems. We will also inform transmission and distribution system operators about your registration. You will join the energy market after ten working days. From that moment onwards, you will be able to perform your activities under your new market role.
Arrange in advance
Before you register, it is important for you to be aware of the existing agreements within the sector. You must take care of a few things in advance. This will allow us to process your application expediently.
