Open data and data requests

Through Partners in Energy, you can access open energy data or request a specific dataset.

At Partners in Energy, we provide you with crucial data on the electricity and gas networks of the Netherlands. This is data on, for example, energy consumption in specific streets or the location of cables, pipes and stations in municipalities. This valuable information supports organisations in decision-making, planning and execution of groundwork.

To meet your specific data needs, we offer two options:

Option 1: Available open dataset

Explore our open datasets directly on the websites of the regional grid operators. These datasets are free and accessible to everyone. Open data is available separately for each regional grid operator. Below you will find links to the pages where you can view the available open data.

Option 2: Submit data request

If the data you need is not available as an open dataset, you can submit a specific data request through Partners in Energy. Follow these steps:

  1. Request an account from your organisation’s administrator. Don’t know who your administrator is? Enter your details in the access request form. We will then find out who your administrator is.
  2. Log in to your account and go to Data services.
  3. Here you will find the data request form.
  4. Complete the form and submit your request.

If you have questions about pending data requests, please contact [email protected].

Please note: this email address cannot be used to submit new data requests.

We aim to provide all available data. However, in some cases, certain data may not be available or may not be shared. If this is the case, you will receive a clear explanation of why the requested data cannot be provided.

Individual energy data

Understanding your energy use is the first step. To make better use of your connection or the electricity grid, you need insight into your gas and electricity consumption and generation, among other things.

This data can be used, for example, to analyse whether there are opportunities to make better use of your contracted capacity. This could include reducing or shifting peaks, aligning your consumption with energy generation, or using energy storage. The data is also essential when exploring collective solutions, such as setting up an energy hub.

Individual energy data provides insight into consumption and, where applicable, generation data at 15-minute intervals for electricity and hourly intervals for gas, shown for each calendar year.

Every large-scale consumer can request this data from the relevant metering operator as well as from their grid operator. At present, the grid operators use different processes to provide this data. The joint grid operators are working towards a uniform process and a standardised dataset.

Please note: if you are requesting data on behalf of one or more large-scale customers as a third party, for example as an energy consultancy, you will need a signed consent form.

Application process by grid operator

  • Liander
As a business customer, log in to MijnLiander. Go to your connections, select ‘Download 15-minute data’ and choose the required year. The download may take some time.Liander also offers Beter Benutten Grootverbruik. This data product consists of three datasets: Grid Topology, Load and Capacity. Together, these provide insight into the main characteristics of the electricity grid around a connection.
  • Stedin
Requests are handled through your personal account manager.
  • Enexis
There is currently no option to obtain this data from Enexis. Please contact your metering operator.
  • Rendo
Requests can be submitted via [email protected].
  • Coteq
Requests can be submitted via [email protected].
  • Westland Infra
There is currently no option to obtain this data from Westland Infra. Please contact your metering operator.
